Scatter Chart
Description
The scatter chart -- also known as the XY chart -- plots data points using two value axes.
A positive association between variables will be exhibited with an upward trend, a negative association will be shown with a downward trend, and as expected, no apparent association will be revealed with absence of any trend.
Scatter charts are useful when x-values do not occur at even increments.
Common Uses
- Showing the relationship between two variables
