Insert Objects

Insert charts, images and hyperlinks as well as fill cells, use auto formulas and format cells as dates.

CHARTS
To create a chart, highlight the cells containing the data to chart and click on the Chart button, represented as a multi-colored area chart. The New Chart Information screen will appear, where you can enter the chart's title, select the chart type, and decide to have the series in rows or columns. Click on Add Series, fill in the information, and then click Create Chart. The chart will appear on your spreadsheet.

IMAGES
To insert an image, click on the Insert Image button, represented as a picture of a mountain range and the sun. The Insert Image screen will appear, where you can select the file to upload.
Note: The image file you insert must be between 12000 and 50000 bytes.

AUTO FORMULA
To find the sum, average, maximum, or minimum value, use the Auto Formula button, shown as the Greek letter Sigma. Highlight the cells to calculate, click on the Auto Formula icon, and select one of the four formula options.

FORMAT AS DATE
The Format as Date function, shown as a calender and clock, provides a calender and a drop down menu with 46 date formats.

HYPERLINK
To insert a hyperlink, click on the Hyperlink button, represented as Earth. A screen will appear, in which you can input the url. After the hyperlink has been created, the data in the cell will appear as a link.

FILL CELLS
The fill cells function, shown as a lightning bolt, can automatically fill cells using specified increments.
